Weekly News: All roads lead to Clonoulty for West’s Awake


West’s Awake Music Festival 2024

The annual West’s Awake Music Festival returns this year to The Dillon Quirke GAA Grounds on Sunday June 2nd in Clonoulty as we expect to welcome thousands of revelers this Bank Holiday weekend. Johnny Brady, All Folk’d Up, The Papa Zitas and our own Rebel Hearts provide the entertainment and gates open at 12:30pm.

Tickets are on sale online at the following link: Tickets.ie Ireland – Tickets.ie – Booking Tickets for Event and are also be available to purchase on the day. Ticket sales have been strong so you are encouraged to purchase in advance, especially given the excellent weather forecast.

Its all hands on deck this week in preparation for this massive event. We had 3,500 people attend last year and a similar crowd is expected. We are looking forward to welcoming people from all over Ireland on Sunday.

Congratulations to Danielle O’Dwyer who was presented with her winning cheque last Monday night following her win the previous week.

Junior B Camogie League Champions

Our Junior team followed the lead of the seniors by beating Anacarty on Sunday morning in the Ragg. Congratulations to all the girls.

Kieran Feisty Delaney Memorial Tournament

Our seniors take part in a tournament on Saturday June 1st in Toomevara. The home team, Upperchurch Drombane and Monaleen also take part. We play Toome at 2pm. A win would see us play the final at 3:45pm. There will be lots of food and refreshments provided on the day.
