Weekly News: Adjourned AGM takes place and Social tickets on sale

Adjourned AGM

A large crowd was in attendance last Sunday for the adjourned AGM in the Clubhouse. After years of incredible service, Andrew Fryday will vacate the chairperson’s role and will move on to the top position in the West Tipperary GAA Board. We wish Andrew all the best in his new role. There was no nominations in for the chairperson and other officer positions. A follow on meeting will take place in the coming days as we await nominations. This meeting was due to take place tonight, January 24th but has been postponed due to the red weather warning.

Juvenile AGM

The juvenile AGM will take place on Wednesday January 29th at 7.30pm. We ask people to make an effort to attend, particularly parents and those new to the club. As ever, attending the AGM doesn’t mean you will be given a job but you will be showing your support and have an opportunity to contribute.

Camogie and GAA Social

Clonoulty Rossmore Camogie and GAA will host our Social Dance on Saturday February 8th in the Anner Hotel. This is in celebration of the historic first ever County senior Camogie Championship win and our two-in-a-row West U21 A championship title. Silver Dollar will provide the after meal music and a DJ will follow. Tickets are now available from Joan Ryan (0860779226) and Caitriona O’Gorman (0872662587). Caitriona will also be in the clubhouse on Tuesday evening January 28th with social tickets between 7pm – 8pm. She will also be taking membership money.

Dr. Harty Cup

Congratulations to Thurles CBS who have qualified for the Harty Cup final following a 7 point win over De la Salle this week. They advance to face St. Flannans in the final. Danny O’Keeffe, Frank O’Dwyer, Jack Heffernan and Conor Kennedy are part of the panel.
